Moodzy puts everyone around you who's up for the same thing on one live map. Pick a mood, see who's out, make a plan. No feeds, no swiping, nothing to post.
Moodzy is a free real-time social app for meeting people nearby in India. Find someone to play football with, grab food with, work on something creative with, or just sit and talk. Events are short-lived and location is always approximate.
Free. 18 and over. Android now, iPhone next.
Sporty
Turf football at the Race Course ground, six o'clock. Four going, room for six more.
You had a free evening. Three people left the group chat on read. So you stayed in. Two streets over, someone wanted to do exactly what you wanted to do. Neither of you knew.
That's the whole problem. Not a better feed, not smarter matching. Just a way to see who's around and actually free, before the evening's gone.
The filter
Your mood is the filter. Switch it and the people, the plans, all of it re-sorts around what you're actually up for. Switch as often as you like.
Sporty
Run, play, sweat.
Turf football, a badminton court, a six a.m. run you'd never do alone.
Party
Where the noise is.
Terrace nights, house parties, the gig everyone's going to.
Food
Eat something great.
Late momos, a new cafe, the chai stall that's open till midnight.
Creative
Make something today.
Sketch sessions, jam nights, someone to shoot a short film with.
Adventurous
New places, no plan.
Sunrise ridges, a road you haven't ridden, whatever's up that hill.
Hangout
Good talk, no agenda.
A wall with a view, two glasses of chai, nowhere to be.
How it works
About two minutes, nothing to set up first. Here's the whole thing on one screen.
Six of them, switch whenever. Whatever you choose decides who and what shows up for you. Everything else disappears.
Pull it in to 500 metres when you can't be bothered, push it out to 50 kilometres when you can. The map fills with people and plans in your mood.
Public plans take one tap. Private ones you ask to join. Nothing on? Put something up in a few seconds and let people come to you.
A group chat opens for whoever joined. Agree on a time and a spot, drop a pin, go. When it's over, the plan clears itself off the map.
Tonight, near you
Every plan drops off the map when it ends: the time the host set, or about four hours after it starts. No stale listings, no "is this still happening". If you can see it, it's live.

These are example plans so you can see the shape of one. The real ones are on the map, and they change every evening.
The offset
Here's the whole trick, drawn to scale. Your device tells us where you are. Nobody else is told.
We shift every location by up to about 400 metres before anyone sees it. Your real coordinates never leave us.
You sign in with a phone number. It's encrypted at rest and no other user is ever shown it. Same for your email.
Disappear from the map whenever you want and still see everything. Thirty minutes, an hour, three hours, or until you switch it back. Nobody gets told.
18 and over, checked at signup. If we find out an account belongs to a minor, we remove it.
On any profile, chat or event, without a back-and-forth first. Reports go to a person and the logs are kept.
No behavioural tracking, no data sales. Local businesses can pay to promote an offer, and it's labelled when they do, but they never get your data. Plans expire, so there's no trail of where you've been.
The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, and the safeguards for under-18s are in our Child Safety Standards. Meeting people in person carries real risk no app removes: meet somewhere public and tell someone where you're going.
For the record
No swiping, no matching, none of that pressure. People come here to do something, together.
Nothing to post, nothing to like, no follower count. There's no version of Moodzy you win at.
It's for what's happening soon, not a schedule you fill for the quarter. Every plan ends on its own and clears off the map.
We don't keep a history of where you've been, and there's nobody to sell it to because we don't sell it.

Yes, for you. No subscription, no paid tier, no ad tracking for people using the app. Local businesses can pay for a Pro tier and to promote an offer, and anything promoted is labelled. We're not selling your data either, which is the usual catch.
Not yet. Moodzy is on Android today. The iOS build is in progress and we'd rather ship it properly than put up a fake download button.
No. Your device sends us your real location so we can work out what's nearby, but the pin other people see is shifted by up to about 400 metres on our servers, and the shift is fixed per grid cell so it can't be averaged away. Nobody gets your exact coordinates, ever.
That's Ghost Mode. You see everyone, nobody sees you. Set it for 30 minutes, an hour, three hours, or until you turn it off.
No. There's no swiping, no matching, no romantic framing anywhere in the product. Moodzy is for finding people to actually do something with.
It drops off the map at the time the host set, or about four hours after it starts. The group chat stays open for whoever joined, but nobody new can come in.
Anywhere in India, though it's most useful where people are already on it. We started in Dehradun and we're growing city by city rather than pretending we're everywhere.
18 and over only, offset locations, Ghost Mode, report and block on every profile, chat and event, and a real person reviewing what gets flagged. Meeting strangers still carries risk, so meet in public and tell someone where you're going.
Go outside
Free on Google Play. Takes a phone number and about a minute, and then you can see who's out.
18 and over. Android 8.0 and up.
